Oddblogger's short trip!

hi people~

i've been missing from blogosphere for so loooong i think it would be better if i shut down my blog ahaha.

thing is, i'm currently busy with the real life so not much time to share bits of life in my blog. so i'm gonna do a quick at-least-i-update-my-blog post to avoid any guilt abandoning this site for so long hehehe.

so this holiday i stayed at home and took care of my grandma. so there goes my daily routine of waking up to change diapers, bathe her, feed her, make the house spick and span, did some cooking (which is rare for me but i did it well), and basically spend another holiday practicing my housewife skills. i bet my future in laws will love me because i can do house chores brilliantly ahahaha what la.

in what i would call as a miracle escapade, i went to Sunway Lagoon with my uncle and my sister. it was actually his class's trip but me and sis just tagged along like two bumbling girls ahahah. i think uncle and sis had a great day at Sunway Lagoon, jumping from one pool to another, chasing after the artificial waves and getting sun-burned all the way. i avoided the water activity because i prefer to be the mother taking care of the children while they splashed around in the water, leaving their phones and slippers anywhere they want. sigh, these children really make me feel like a mom.

but i did enjoyed myself well visiting the animals park and the extreme park.the crocodiles were so ah-mazingggg i feel like jumping inside and ride on their backs okay crazy teehee. i have always love dangerous animals and reptiles like the crocodiles, scorpions, snakes, lions and bears. i wish i can have a Tarantula as a pet one fine day. i did spent a lot of time observing people and their knick knacks. it is such a good experience to meet so many people from different places all over the world.

 i am really.....short. -.-'
 little monsta!
Captain Quack and the tired people.
my new girlfriend. jealous please hehehe.

afterwards we went to iCity which is actually a good place for pictures...and that's all. the games are quite boring and the food is freaking expensive. so i would say the best attractions are the lights and some beautiful scenery. i bought my iCard and went around with my sister. we went to the House of Horror and i kind of anticipate a true beat-my-heart-out horror but it was a big disappointment since there were only mannequins and eerie sounds. no real human pretending to be ghost so there goes my RM15 walking through the darkness and dangling ghost for nothing much, i actually stopped at each room and examined their ghosts up close, touching the woods and spiders and skulls like i'm walking in the park. i guess even if there is a human pretending to be the ghost, chances are i might punch him in the face when i'm startled. i actually punch a dangling female corpse when it moves beside me. what. is .this. Oddblogger.

but my sister was quite scared of the place despite being bigger and taller than me ahaha. i actually am more scared for my sister (in case she's too scared to move or starts crying whatever) than the ghost. so the jie jie in me actually surfaced to protect the mei mei ahahaha hen hao! then we exited the ghost house and find ourselves in the souvenir shop selling all sorts of scream mask and key chains and fridge magnets. i actually spend some time chatting with the shop assistant, who came from Bali, and he was just so polite and humble. there is a different between a local man and the foreign one in the way they communicate. and i thought he came from Sabah ahahah.

no wonder so many girls fall for Indonesian guys because they are so polite and humble.
man, please be polite and soft spoken okay. stop the smooth talker attitude please.

House of Horror : mission accomplished!
i want these for my house aaaa!

it was a good trip but i think i refrained myself a lot. i did not really went all out enjoying the places because i think i wanted to visit these places again in the future. perhaps with my best friends or special someone or people who actually will not say NO when i wanted to take hundreds of pictures around ahahahah!

who would have guess that i have arrived at my dream place since i was small, isn't it?
next time i will turn into a mermaid and soak myself all day long!

toodles!

Romeo & Juliet

Once the mighty sun shines upon two powerful Houses
Of the haughty Capulet and the adventurous Montague
Over fights and wits they seek their applauses
For honour in name is the only glory they claim to be true

As if by mere flick of destiny, shaped their bliss
That each House swears by their precious light
Sweet Juliet, Capulet’s lovely innocent princess
Charming Romeo, of Montague’s glowing might

Despite all the nemesis oath they vow to no end
A love written, a love hidden
In one locking stare lasting through the dance
Spark the heartbeat of both lad and maiden

To the stars she whisper her love by the balcony
Of yearning so great for the lad with no name
Who by fate, lost in the maze of the garden be
Dancing a lover’s dance, feelings blooming all the same

“Romeo O Romeo,
Wherefore art thou, my Romeo” Juliet speak
“I have seen thy eyes, it maketh me weak!”

“I’m here on thy lips
My name thou hath speak!”
Brave Romeo climb the vine to find the lips he seek!

Thus fare the young lovers
With wishes upon the stars in their contented heart
In daze from reality and the growing terror
For true love sake, two hearts must be set apart

A kill for a kill, the two House fight
A cousin kill, a brother dead
For justice and honour, a kill, too, would feel alright
And thus came the test our young lovers so dread

For the Houses to walk with dignity again
Young Romeo must go, in exile from the land
But the worst is for Juliet, to feel thus slain
A promised marriage in Count Paris’s hand

Union and love, the young lovers had
Only to be separated in honour’s name
No more love nor hate nor good nor bad
If love is the wager for two Houses fame

Thus part their lips in great pain
With promise and hope as a token of salvation
Sweet Juliet cry like the moon gone insane
For her darling Romeo, alone in isolation

In desperation to stop her union with Paris
Juliet plays with her life in drugged sleep
Upon her discovered death, Romeo took his life, bliss
To be with his Juliet, no care in the world to keep

Juliet woke up to Romeo’s death
“Pray, I cannot live on and weep
When Romeo die as if asleep”

She took her youthful life, empty and wasted
For true love sake and hope it gave
So end the life of Romeo and Juliet
A tragic tale that live on in love’s grave

This is the story of my life.

On the first of October, we had our annual Teslite dinner and this time the venue was at the Katerina Hotel (which was darn grand i swear i feel like going to a wedding banquet!)

the annual dinner was organized by my batch this time since the seniors had done their part last time so that makes us the Trojan and Viking who ran havoc here and there in between classes and sleep to prepare for the dinner. i was asked to be the informal emcee together with Sean, Qayyim and Keyri (after some yay and nay regarding the roles involving a very sick me, a very busy Sean, and a very annoying pair of underlings hmmmm).

it was my first time emceeing informally for something so big i actually went into a state of blank due to hyper nervousness ahahah typical Oddblogger! however, the experience was a gold in the bucket for me and my emcee partner, Sean (who actually bear with me enough to go through this whole emceeing stint that night). so a mountain of gratitude and thank you to all the great people of my batch for making this Tesl Night a success despite some last minute change and cahoots. seriously i don't know how the heck i managed to pull my act together that night with all the tornadoes happening behind the scene. thank God all my friends help cover my back with their quick action or i might end up like a dead stump in the middle of the crowds.

all of us dress up and dazzle our own satisfaction (if not other's kyahaha) and here's the picture to show that all the tornadoes in the world can't break our spirit to smile to the end. *optimistic much lels*

 TESL SJKC colour up yo
with Sean who helps me a lot during the night
 the roses

 le sodiqoti!
 the superwoman of the night
le emcee d'event

all in all it was a good event despite some spoils here and there. i couldn't express myself more once the night ended smoothly. i hope i will never have to be an informal emcee again. i would just stick with being a formal emcee because i lack the spontaneity which is required for any informal emcee.

still, thank you and congratulation, TESL SK, TESL SJKC and TESL 3 KIRBY for pulling all the stops for that night!

sweet dream, people~

Oddblogger's Solo Trip!

ahoy ye sailors!

last semester break, i went to Lumut, Perak for my first ever solo trip! *clap, clap*

i stayed with my sister in law at the Naval Base since my brother is currently on his sailing rounds here and there across the ocean watching nothing but waves and sea. i went for about five days and it was the most amazing trip ever! more so because it was my first solo trip to a state faaaaar from Johor.

the first day we set off from Muar because we were taking Along with us and once we sent him in KL, we went to Genting Highland! i didn't know that we were going to Genting so when Kak As drove along this hills and mist, i was quite confuse about what's going on actually. so when she told me where we were heading to, i was so surprise i didn't know how to react! we spend a couple of hours on top there and took so many pictures my phone went hang for awhile.

the we proceeed to Lumut and arrived late at night. after a quick ngeteh session (we were the only woman among the many navies there so i was poker face all the time they thought i am an officer ahahah) we went home and slept like a log.

there were many places that we explored during the stay and i find all the places highly interesting since it was the first time i can go anywhere i want (with such a rocking sister in law too) and nobody cares if i stare at a historical explanation plate for more than thirty minutes. we went to the nearby hotspot like Lumut Waterfront, some karaoke spot in a shady gangster neighbourhood (funny because Lumut is a Naval town ahahah), chasing the waves at Teluk Batik and imagining tsunami gonna hit the shore at any moment because the wave wa sso darn scary, playing spooky tour at Kellie's Castle and spending a hot day at the Pasir Salak Historical Museum. we even went to the Marina Bay where i ate a most delicious, fat waffle full with fillings and literally fighting my nerves when walking on the wooden jetty to the Naval Ship museum. i might have sacrifice two mountain of courage walking on the wooden jetty ahahaha.

due to some personal reason, i can't upload the pictures much but hey, two or threes won't hurt as a proof, isn't it?  besides, i might shut down my blog anytime soon in the need to focus on my future plans. seriously i don't have the time or the passion to write about my personal time anymore. might make a new blog with all the non-personal posting soon. talk about taking it formally this time around hei ho.

this is a first to many more solo trips in the future.
can't wait!

toodles!

This is the story about TFTN

have you ever heard of Teach For The Needs (TFTN)?

TFTN is a non-government organization that aims to help the less fortunate, namely the orphans, all over the country through means of education. at TFTN, we believe that each and every child have the potential to be their own individual and are capable of achieving greater heights in their life when they are given the chance to shine out from their own obstacles. basically what we do in TFTN is that we work together, free will, to help discover and levitate the potentials that each child have in themselves. more so, in TFTN, we focus on doing so to the orphans simply because they are the majority of kids who are given such lavish endowement yet so little care and attention that they actually deserve.

especially in terms of educational attention.

for more info, you can visit their website http://teachfortheneeds.org/ to find out more about this organization.

i am glad to introduce our TFTN BP Crew which has been pioneered by none other than the few crazy heads of my colleague, Nurul Azwa Muhammad Noor, Mohd Syukri Sapuan, and the ever eccentric Zunnurain Fahmi Md Sadakah. these three gladiators has decided to put their feet forward and go through what seems to be an incredibly difficult task at first. but i believe that if we set out to do something with a good intention, God will help us pull through.

with that, TFTN BP Crew was established firmly in the year 2014 with a strong 32 volunteers consisting of various students from different options in IPTHO. we starts our first project in the Batu Pahat Orphanage where we teach the students ranging from Form One to Three a little bit of everything including their academics, social and spiritual needs. despite all the obstacles that we had to endure, we are glad to say that our journey bear its first fruit through the warmth and joy smiles shown across the children's faces when they meet us.

it is important to note that TFTN BP Crew is an NGO and we did not receive any payment from any individuals, association or political party to carry out our intention. we stand on our own, work on our own, and try to provide what is needed for the children in order to help them discover their potentials and levitate themselves for the greater good of their own.

we are currently running on good hands with a systematic formalities and arrangement with fixed schedule and manpower to keep things smooth. good cooperation from the orphanage also helps us in making sure that we can do our part as best as we could at all time.

we hope that with the establishment of TFTN BP Crew, more chances are given towards the orphans to help them spread their wing for the greater good of themselves.

Pirate Oddblogger ahoy!

howdy ye sailing mermaids!

'ere pirate Oddblogger speakin'
with wits and whey and pranks
surviving her days of plenty campin'
full of sand and merry friends

howdy ye pirates be at ready
today we shall board them ol' bus
pack ye sack and ye dusty teddy
and drag ye friends from dreamy dust

here we gather hand in hand
to face four days off shore
home is far from Pirate Sand
three blinking nights to go

O first pull we set up them tents
to rest our sore limbs pray
divided we maybe these clans
but us Scouts pull them grey

first night the stars shine bright south
as we knock and pull those ropes
with merry smile and great loud mouth
the Scout shall live with hopes

blazin' day stretch our brains out
as we start our campin' day
in this small world of  crazy Scout
with rattling gadgets on display

what snooze and drool we hung ourselves
of dullest Captain's  speech
as second day stretch with boredom on shelves
a longing for ye sandy beach

third day the sun burns across shore
marks our adventure calls
with sunburn face and much galore
we cross the jungle walls

O ye hungry pirates tummy
spare us some salty cook
mix pots of rice and anything sandy
to fill our tummy crook

third night we gather all the vibrant clans
to sit and rest and burst to sing
clinking mugs and frying pans
off the shore of sandy Mersing

survive the camps ye pirates did
brace through those stinking toilets oy
with sweats and stains and pricky zits
ye brace them with great joy

so long now O my dear Pirate Sand
who's beauty we shall keep in chain
but come next time o' gathering clans
we hope its not here again!

pipe down ye merry Pirate Scout!

It's a kampung life #Oddbloggerstyle !

hello blogosphere!

i just got back from a community program under Iptho which is the Program Bakti Guru in collaboration/sponsorship from Suruhanjaya Pencegah Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM). basically we were acting as the secretariats of the SPRM to deliver the message regarding bribery and its bane to the society.

successfully refrain myself from bringing luggage bag ahahah!

my adopted family.

well, my family were made up of Abg Salim, Kak Aini, Kak Yah (kak aini's older sister), and their two adopted children, Raziqin and Raihan (who actually resembles abg Salim a lot!) and they live in a modest kampung house quite far from the main gathering point of our activities which is the balai raya. due to the distance, abg Salim gave us the green light to use his motorcycle as a mean of transportation for us every day. oh, my housemate/sister for this probag is a junior from the foundation RBT, Suraya. we had a lot of fun, i tell you!

there were lots of activities that we carried out either on our own or with the villagers, namely community service cleaning the schools and the mosque, as well as filling our tummy full with all the marhaban that we were invited to! all the villagers were extremely nice and accommodating regardless of the condition, and for that, all of us are absolutely thankful!

the moment we arrived in Parit Selangor, it rains cats and dogs as if it marks the meeting of the villagers with us in a most blessed way. we were given to our adopted families and after an energetic welcoming speech from the YB, we were driven to our respective houses. so off we go to the Salim's household! once we arrived, we were greeted warmly and excitedly by the family, making us feel at home already. the house was not too big, nor was it stoned all over which makes it really charming and cozy to our eyes.

enough with the words, let's go, pictures!

inside the house. i actually love this spot very much because it makes me feel like a true lady sitting with my legs close and posing in such ladylike way pffft. this is before Raihan jump at me and literally wrestle with me at the stairs! ouch my back ahahah!

we did our community service in Sekolah Agama Parit Selangor where all the ladies, RBTs especially (plus me) were given the task to change the soil of the flower pots and there we were, digging the soil out of our life while the boys walk here and there giving orders to the school kids. we were the Trojan of the day, i tell you! i feel like i'm Athena fighting the soil with the hoe! #TeacherCanDoEverything

the house with the swing and the flowers and the kampung road and the motor and the freshness of the morning and the silent of the night and the cold, freezing water and the carefree atmosphere and Ziqin ramming the motor in the evening like a pro while Raihan wrestling with us twenty times a day! i love this family!

the second day, we carry out our English Language games at the school in which i was in charge of the fourth station with my junior, Awang. basically we were making the students acting out roles from Snow White and making them hyper with jazz chant fights between Chuck Buttowski and Teddy Bear Roar! it was incredible because the kids said that they never had these kind of lesson in class before so they figuratively give all out when they do the jazz chant. well, it goes to show how the Language Arts elements were implemented in schools. unsuccessfully. hmmm.

next, welcome to the Pineapple Museum!
although my village is in Pontian, and i am a Johorean, i've never been to this museum before. *shame shame* it was quite fun because there were so many things that i learn about pineapples and the properties and the products we get from this thorny fruit. we were given free pure, hundred percent pineapple juice and free icecream to go with it. cold stuff down our throat on such a blazing hot day, ahh heaven!

Raziqin's first trip to the museum. and yes, he is from Parit Selangor ahaha such irony. i was glad his first trip to the museum was with us because it kinds of left us with a special memory with this energetic brother!

 pineapples, pineapples everywhere!

the bubbling Raihan running to and fro, pushing the swing, wrestling with us and literally make our tiredness go away in a blink with her cute frolicking! ahh i miss having a small sister. my sister is now the cool teenager who don't bother about being cute anymore hahahah!
this might sounds insane and ridiculously absurd to some but the man in the yellow shirt is actually my uncle from my father's side! he is the husband of my aunt (my father's older sister). however, because we are not really close with the family from the Bugis part, i did not know him. i only know his wife because she can speak good English and some Chinese like omigoshhh so cool, aunty! so yeah, now i have two families in Parit Selangor yay yay yay!

this was the last view on the last day. we were crying and literally hugging all our mothers because we were such a cry baby and our mothers went cry mothers too. i was so overwhelm with emotion when i hug Kak Aini and Kak Yah because they were literally so good i feel like they are my own family now. all of us were crying when we were about to bid farewell. even Abang Salim was crying but because he was so cool and macho, he put on his shade and he can pretend that we didn't see him wipe his tears from under the shades but i know he was crying so hard too because he was treating us so good all the while we stay at his house. Kak Yah even get on the bus and went to our seat and took our pictures crying in he bus ahahaha Kak Yah was so funny but so sweet despite her inability to talk. we love her so much too! Raziqin were solemn and grim because he cannot digest the fact that we must say goodbye that day. like a child, he stay away from us and didn't even smile and was controlling his tears when i say goodbye to him.

i am actually crying as i type this post oh God i wanted to go back to Parit Selangor and meet them again!
