Lone ranger

always,always
always in a world of my own
my own world
only i exists in this particular world
no other living human to sit with me

i am a lone ranger
i live alone and alone i will always be
closed heart, closed mind
undaunted, unperturbed, undisturbed
alone without care, alone without tears

sometimes i leave my world and
walk into the normal life of others
still my bones ache with too much suffocation
expectation, perception, judgmental illusion
only to find that i don't belong in their world

i must go back,
to my own world, my own world
where i delve in my castle of eccentricities
with the scattering constellations as my roof
among the sweet scent of blooming flowers

deprived of another soul
i am on my own
till the the end of the day
to live is a journey
to die is an adventure

i am Narcissus
a lone ranger immersed in my own shadows
absorbed in my unpenetrable world of soliloquy
of lies that soon unbound
of bonds that soon break forth

with glorified vanity
and haughty glances
i shall make you see the world
too deep in the dark
until it scares your blood dry

this is my wold, my world
beware those who try to enter
for i shall soon chase you away
except for the bravest of heart
and the calmest of soul

i am Narcissus
a flower with curse upon my existence
to seek a life unlike any life
to die a death with such tragic twist
i live on my own, on my own
none shall enter if you wish not to stay

i am Narcissus
the lone ranger

Assalamualaikum people!

I have always been fascinated with anything related to death and the dark side of life.

I mean, it’s not like I’m a gloomy doll or whatsoever but there’s a whole lot mysteries that is waiting to be discovered when it concerns these entire dark realm. It’s like, every little thing that relates to death and its counterpart is like a whole new bonafide dark parade, and we are the skeletons marching forward in its salutation.

Okay, now I’m talking dark.

Sometimes in a century or two, there will be a time when a song emerged full with deathly aura and gloomy emotion. The sentiments of the listeners will be provoked so thoroughly that it makes them tired of life and opt for a quick death instead. It is a rare occasion for a song to be that haunting but once it hit the deathly-rendition level, it turns into a dangerous weapon. It kills people through the method of psychological and emotional torture. Just imagine; a song to kill, what a lovely prospect!

Recently I watched this one show in KBSW entitled Immortal Song in which the singers compete with each other using the legendary songs until the winner emerged at the end of the show. What makes it extremely entertaining is the fact that the show proceed to display the real, pure, core talent of the Korean singers! Usually we see them singing all these catchy upbeat song that goes straight into the ‘typical candy tune’ in our mind but through the Immortal Song, they got the chance to show their real talent and vocal and most of them are incredibly brilliant!

In one of the recent episode of the show, they highlight the songs from all the deceased legends like Michael Jackson, and Frank Sinatra. And it was a mind blowing episode when all these singer sang English songs with totally impressive English pronunciation! It goes to say that you can’t look down on the Eastern people. Once they unleash their Oriental power, they can knock the life out of you just through a song!
One of the singer, the only female in the episode, called Bada, sang an extremely chilly and grim song about death entitled Praise of Death. The original singer was, Yun Sim Deok, and there is a deep story behind the song. The singer wrote and sang the song right before she jump off from the cliff with her lover, apparently due to some complicated love obstacles. The song is undeniably chilly and hauntingly beautiful, it even makes me cry when I hear the song and feel a bit emotional. What a powerful song can do to us, mere human beings is just indescribable.

This reminds me of Gloomy Sunday, another widely famed haunted Hungarian song. The creator of the song kills himself right after listening to the song, so does his wife and family, and his friends, and all the people that listen to the song. They kill themselves right after listening to the song. When random people started taking their own life because if this song, the song was ban in all the country in the world. Although some singers manage to translate the song into the English version as a way to decease the level of depression the song brings with it, the act is one useless choice. People keep dying after they listen to the song. You can’t find the song anywhere now. Not even in the Youtube or 4Share. You can find the lyrics, though but even reading the lyrics can evoke some depression if you read it with your heart. Enough said, it’s a song to kill.

So we don’t really need to torture our enemies with knife and knuckles. Let them listen to the song over and over again, and they’ll go buzzing with madness. Or, we could torture them while letting them listen to the song. I mean, a bleeding scalp might hurt you physically but an eerie song adds the weight in your heart and provoke you to go full frame mental.

When it comes to torturing people, I have so many ideas. But I must filter them lahh if I want to talk about them in my blog. Gosh, I should be a Paskal instead of a teacher!

To me, death is a fix matter in our life. Everyone will die one day. At least we’re not Jesus who’s lifted up until the time come for the him to descend and help us in our war of survival but that’s another matter so be done with it for now. When death comes for us, it’s unavoidable. There’s no room to hide or escape. What we have is our good deeds and bad deeds in this world that will be our sole helper when we face death. That’s why we must strive to increase our ibadah and try to lessen our sin by repenting and try our best to avoid making sin after sin. Because we don’t know when we will die.

Funeral can be a very gloomy occasion but if we have learn to redha and accept the short cycle of life as it is, we won’t feel so sad when watching people passed away. Instead we will feel remorse and sympathetic of our self. The person who dies is actually loved by God. God take his life so that he won’t live too long, suffering with all the worldly problems and obstacles. He won’t be exposed to more chances of making sin after sin. His journey in this world has come to the end and he is now starting the truest journey of all, the one towards the Hereafter life.  We, the living, are still being tested with the worldly endevours and temptation. We are still exposed to chances of slipping into mistakes and despair. We, the living, is still exposed to the prospect of sinning and falling and straying off path. The dead? They are free from the world. That’s why, never fear death but take death as a motivation to increase our ibadah and bring us closer to God. No matter what religion we worship in, our goal is the same : Heaven. So, increase our faith and ibadah every single day, according to the way our religion teach us.

I watch this one movie, The Expandables, in which the cast are all the bonafide action moviestars. Think the all time buffer like Silvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwezenegger, Jean Claude Van Dame, all the big taiko in the action department! There is one saying from Stallone’s character, Benny, that really touches my heart. It goes straight inside my head and deep into my heart. He’s talking about death which goes like this :

We take it light and wait until it gets dark. Then we pitch black.

Deep.

Salam.
