We take it #Oddbloggerstyle

gotta be cool and strong, when life lost and love toss

let none tears shed when the requiem broke the silent sky

because everything in life comes with a haunting cost

the crow will fly when we bid our goodbye

today we honour a faith killed by hope

and every soul that die from the kiss

to live on and rise to fight and to cope

the person we love, forever we miss

what once come as a wonderfully astounding gift

might leave like wilting petal on a cold, gravestone

for every time we sit on the floor with grief

will make us stronger to survive alone

in funeral and mourning, hark

one soul will bow and beg

we take it light until it gets dark

then we pitch black.

9 December 2013

Like roses.

roses bloom and wilt
like tears hiding every single guilt
but still it stand in a firm echo
smiling as we watch the past go

blooming bright in the first breeze
to quench any emotional thirst, apease
hold, and shine with every sway
red, a love with no yes or nay

calm like the last autumn sky
watching the last petal wilting dry
in a season of old stone and firewall
when the last rose slowly fall

back to the basic of life
and live another colourful strife
to love, is to care and hold
until bones break and memories turns old

it's been too long since i spill some ink for poetry.
skills getting rustic, huh?

Lone ranger

always,always
always in a world of my own
my own world
only i exists in this particular world
no other living human to sit with me

i am a lone ranger
i live alone and alone i will always be
closed heart, closed mind
undaunted, unperturbed, undisturbed
alone without care, alone without tears

sometimes i leave my world and
walk into the normal life of others
still my bones ache with too much suffocation
expectation, perception, judgmental illusion
only to find that i don't belong in their world

i must go back,
to my own world, my own world
where i delve in my castle of eccentricities
with the scattering constellations as my roof
among the sweet scent of blooming flowers

deprived of another soul
i am on my own
till the the end of the day
to live is a journey
to die is an adventure

i am Narcissus
a lone ranger immersed in my own shadows
absorbed in my unpenetrable world of soliloquy
of lies that soon unbound
of bonds that soon break forth

with glorified vanity
and haughty glances
i shall make you see the world
too deep in the dark
until it scares your blood dry

this is my wold, my world
beware those who try to enter
for i shall soon chase you away
except for the bravest of heart
and the calmest of soul

i am Narcissus
a flower with curse upon my existence
to seek a life unlike any life
to die a death with such tragic twist
i live on my own, on my own
none shall enter if you wish not to stay

i am Narcissus
the lone ranger

last last Saturday, yeah, THAT long ago, my class had our second Bina Insan Guru program in SK Taman Sri Kota, Yong Peng.

It’s how we roll.

Assalamualaikum people!

I have always been fascinated with anything related to death and the dark side of life.

I mean, it’s not like I’m a gloomy doll or whatsoever but there’s a whole lot mysteries that is waiting to be discovered when it concerns these entire dark realm. It’s like, every little thing that relates to death and its counterpart is like a whole new bonafide dark parade, and we are the skeletons marching forward in its salutation.

Okay, now I’m talking dark.

Sometimes in a century or two, there will be a time when a song emerged full with deathly aura and gloomy emotion. The sentiments of the listeners will be provoked so thoroughly that it makes them tired of life and opt for a quick death instead. It is a rare occasion for a song to be that haunting but once it hit the deathly-rendition level, it turns into a dangerous weapon. It kills people through the method of psychological and emotional torture. Just imagine; a song to kill, what a lovely prospect!

Recently I watched this one show in KBSW entitled Immortal Song in which the singers compete with each other using the legendary songs until the winner emerged at the end of the show. What makes it extremely entertaining is the fact that the show proceed to display the real, pure, core talent of the Korean singers! Usually we see them singing all these catchy upbeat song that goes straight into the ‘typical candy tune’ in our mind but through the Immortal Song, they got the chance to show their real talent and vocal and most of them are incredibly brilliant!

In one of the recent episode of the show, they highlight the songs from all the deceased legends like Michael Jackson, and Frank Sinatra. And it was a mind blowing episode when all these singer sang English songs with totally impressive English pronunciation! It goes to say that you can’t look down on the Eastern people. Once they unleash their Oriental power, they can knock the life out of you just through a song!
One of the singer, the only female in the episode, called Bada, sang an extremely chilly and grim song about death entitled Praise of Death. The original singer was, Yun Sim Deok, and there is a deep story behind the song. The singer wrote and sang the song right before she jump off from the cliff with her lover, apparently due to some complicated love obstacles. The song is undeniably chilly and hauntingly beautiful, it even makes me cry when I hear the song and feel a bit emotional. What a powerful song can do to us, mere human beings is just indescribable.

This reminds me of Gloomy Sunday, another widely famed haunted Hungarian song. The creator of the song kills himself right after listening to the song, so does his wife and family, and his friends, and all the people that listen to the song. They kill themselves right after listening to the song. When random people started taking their own life because if this song, the song was ban in all the country in the world. Although some singers manage to translate the song into the English version as a way to decease the level of depression the song brings with it, the act is one useless choice. People keep dying after they listen to the song. You can’t find the song anywhere now. Not even in the Youtube or 4Share. You can find the lyrics, though but even reading the lyrics can evoke some depression if you read it with your heart. Enough said, it’s a song to kill.

So we don’t really need to torture our enemies with knife and knuckles. Let them listen to the song over and over again, and they’ll go buzzing with madness. Or, we could torture them while letting them listen to the song. I mean, a bleeding scalp might hurt you physically but an eerie song adds the weight in your heart and provoke you to go full frame mental.

When it comes to torturing people, I have so many ideas. But I must filter them lahh if I want to talk about them in my blog. Gosh, I should be a Paskal instead of a teacher!

To me, death is a fix matter in our life. Everyone will die one day. At least we’re not Jesus who’s lifted up until the time come for the him to descend and help us in our war of survival but that’s another matter so be done with it for now. When death comes for us, it’s unavoidable. There’s no room to hide or escape. What we have is our good deeds and bad deeds in this world that will be our sole helper when we face death. That’s why we must strive to increase our ibadah and try to lessen our sin by repenting and try our best to avoid making sin after sin. Because we don’t know when we will die.

Funeral can be a very gloomy occasion but if we have learn to redha and accept the short cycle of life as it is, we won’t feel so sad when watching people passed away. Instead we will feel remorse and sympathetic of our self. The person who dies is actually loved by God. God take his life so that he won’t live too long, suffering with all the worldly problems and obstacles. He won’t be exposed to more chances of making sin after sin. His journey in this world has come to the end and he is now starting the truest journey of all, the one towards the Hereafter life.  We, the living, are still being tested with the worldly endevours and temptation. We are still exposed to chances of slipping into mistakes and despair. We, the living, is still exposed to the prospect of sinning and falling and straying off path. The dead? They are free from the world. That’s why, never fear death but take death as a motivation to increase our ibadah and bring us closer to God. No matter what religion we worship in, our goal is the same : Heaven. So, increase our faith and ibadah every single day, according to the way our religion teach us.

I watch this one movie, The Expandables, in which the cast are all the bonafide action moviestars. Think the all time buffer like Silvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwezenegger, Jean Claude Van Dame, all the big taiko in the action department! There is one saying from Stallone’s character, Benny, that really touches my heart. It goes straight inside my head and deep into my heart. He’s talking about death which goes like this :

We take it light and wait until it gets dark. Then we pitch black.

Deep.

Salam.

Final day SBE : farewell SK Bukit Raya!

assalamualaikum people.

hmmmmm.
actually i've been typing and deleting the entry for this post more than five times.
why?
because i just couldn't bring myself to blog about it. i mean, i've grown so in love with the school and the surrounding atmosphere and i just couldn't bear to leave the school and the students. especially the students.

everything was so good at the school. i was not as nervous or shy as i thought i would be. instead i was truly in my element from day one, even though i didn't manage to enter much of the classes in the first place but i feel like at home in that school. the teachers and students alike gave me full cooperation and support, as well as welcoming me with such warmth that i couldn't help but wish i am one of the teachers there.

my students, or at least the one from those few classes that i've entered, were such darlings to me. i couldn't forget how they insisted on calling me as ustazah instead of teacher. to me, it was both an honour and responsibility to be called an ustazah bcause they think i am qualified to be called like that. although i can say i can be anything, but to me i am still an English teacher in the first place. i remember playing with them in the field, talking and questioning them in the class, and not to forget those sweetly innocent greetings as they passed me by in the corridor and at the canteen. i remember all the special education students who rush to shake my hand, regardless of the races and condition and they actually feel very comfortable with me, a total stranger. their trust is the responsibility that i carry in the name of 'Teacher'.

the school's teachers were amazing and very friendly. they didn't make me feel too young or inexperience at all. Puan Shahila was so trusting with me i couldn't possibly say no to whatever she wants me to do. when the teachers gave me a job to do, i considered the task as a kind of approval and appreciation of my talent, however menial it is. to be appreciated and deem as worthy is beyond anyone's dream, especially when one is a total stranger with not much in our backpack to offer to them.

what can i say about my practicum seniors? all seven of them were truly excellent teachers already! i observed the way they communicate, the way they carry out their task, the way they gear up for classes, everything. i observed every aspect about them and i salute them more for their can-do-anything attitude. even though three of them are PJ students, two from Bahasa Melayu and another two hails from Islamic education, they don't have any trouble mixing around with me, a Teslian, the alien who's always being considered as the outsider and strange one. they didn't make me feel left out at all. i remember texting kak Yat and helping her and kak Syafiqah with the blog and stuff, and talking non-stop with Mr Firdaus who hails from Muar too, and laughing with the others as we heard Mr Yazeed delivering his Twinkle Twinkle Little Star lesson to the year one, where we laugh and salute him from the staff room. i remember all the interesting conversation with Mr Najmi who says that i am not weird but unique, what with all the things that i'm interested in when we chatterbox got together, and Mr Aiman who always remains the shy one in the group. i remember Mr Salim, the popular one among the student because of his kindness. i remember every single moment with all of them. i even reminisce about that delicious sambal kerang that Kak Yat treat me at the canteen!

truly, SK Bukit Raya gave me a lasting impact on my path towards becoming a teacher. even Mak Teh and Pak Teh and Kak Maryam and atok were so joyous when i stayed at their house. i feel truly at home and in my element in Darul Hidayah's surrounding. peaceful and calm and very Islamic. the kind of place that helps cure my turbulant heart too.

perhaps, i am not really of much use in the IPG but i know that i can use whatever talent that i have so much better once i enter the school. the atmosphere really kicks my teacher spirit soaring high.

for the first time, i really don't want to go back to Iptho. Iptho, the one place that i love so much, can actually be replace with the charm of SK Bukit Raya. now that is really something, isn't it?

farewell, SK Bukit Raya. i wish i could stay there longer.
thanks for all the extremely beautiful memories.

salam.

Fourth Day SBE : discovering potentials

Assalamualaikum people!

the fourth day was the hyper timeline.

i've successfully captured every single corner in the school hehehe i literally went flying around the school and snap so many pictures but of course i will only use half of them for my reports ahaha. today i finally try out the food at the canteen and my God the sambal kerang was so scrumptious! red, spicy and sweet, like a true Johor's taste!

today i entered class 2C to watch the English teacher carry out her lesson for two period. they learned about 'Saving Water' and were asked to draw a poster afterwards. it was an extremely enjoyable class because the teacher speak with a soft voice when she's talking to me but her voice grow five times louder when she entered the class. that's a bonafide teacher, i tell you! and the kids respond well to her although there were some naughty knicks here and there but what to expect, they are merely eight years old; an age where their energy is at its bumbling, hyper period!

afterwards Puan Shahila, the musolla's teacher, asked me to draw a poster for the entrance of the mosque. i'm like ehhhhh why meeeee? then she said because yesterday another teacher saw me sketching on a piece of paper so to make long story short, they think i'm an artist of some sort like ahahahah where got lahhhh. but i help them all the same because i wish to deliver a good performance here since every one is so good! all the teachers here are like, the Avengers!

after school i accompany Mak Teh to the clinic for her medical check up. my God i'm so sleepy waiting so longggg! actually there's so much that i wanted to blog about but i'm not in my blogger mode right now so i'll save my ramblings for later hehehe.

i think my SBE this time at SK Bukit Raya is way better than the last because i actually feel useful to the school in one way or another. helping with the musolla's blog and decoration might seems a petty thing to most but for me, to be able to do what i love most and being given the recognition by the teachers and people around me, it is so precious and priceless. to think that they actually see me as a talented person is so indescribable because i don't think i did much for them.

besides, the practicum seniors around me are such amazing people! from the way they talk and work, i can say that they will be a really good teacher in the future. they treat me like hommies and discuss so many things with me, as well as advising me and showing me the way to be a good teacher, directly and indirectly. i learn a lot just by observing them going about their daily routine as a teacher here.

truly, to be able to experience a great time with great people in a great school, i couldn't ask for more. i gained so much in this short time at the school. tomorrow will be my last day here and i truly cannot hide the sadness in my heart. somehow, i really don't want to go back to Iptho. i want to stay here longer and learn more. to tell the truth, i didn't think about Iptho even once all the while i'm staying here. all i think about each night is that day's experience and what makes me wake up at five the next morning is the thought that i am going to the school and experience more.

i love this school wholly. the people, the surrounding, the culture, everything.

can i please stay for another week?
salam.

Third Day SBE : yayyyyyyy!

Assalamualaikum people.

today is better than yesterday. even this statement is not enough to describe today!

i had a good day at school, getting two relief classes for PJ with 4C and English with 3D, replacing Mr Salim because he's off being observed by his lecturer. well, PJ class with 4C was a joy because i get to play around in the field again! hahaha no lahhh the girls don't wanna play under the sun and i'm wearing baju kurung so i don't think i should be running around playing football with boys, ain't i? the funny thing is, all the students keep calling me ustazah instead of teacher. even when i've told them i'm an English teacher, they said "takpe laaa cikgu, kitorang nak panggil ustazah jugak." not only that, they gave me some comment which i really can't hold myself from smiling! they said "cikgu lembut macam ustazah laa.. tak garang macam teacher pun. patutnye panggil ustazah lah." i'm like ahahahah-you-kids-really-know-how-to-bully-me lah! so we sat at the field, talking and stuff and of course, the students shots so many questions until i think i might have answer with laughter only at some point. the 3D was okay, although there were some naughty Tom Hicks in the class but things are under control and yes, they too, call me ustazah ahahahah ustazah pun bolehh!

i've finished another assignment today with the help of the school's wifi hehehe.

after school there's co-curricular activity but i don't know if i'm supposed to go or not. most of my friends says there's no need to go since it is not included in my PBS task but i'm like, like, like, can i really do that?? i'm here in school, with a name tag and all the kids call me teacher, ustazah, cikgu so can i really do that?

lol what's with the hyper teacher spirit eh?

in the end Mak Teh came at 3 o'clock and two minutes later i'm off hitting the road to Giant ahahahah what la Oddblogger! but, if i drive my own car/bike, i would have stay until 5 because i think that's what i should do.

so much for the spirit, eh Oddblogger?

so we went to Giant and bought stuff and return home. you know what, i was starstruck when i found a bottle of soy sauce with a price tag of RM10! a soy sauce! my God i'm so not gonna eat kicap in Selangor lulz. i saw a really gorgeous pastel lime green baju kurung and i'm like can i have that please please please! pastel colours are the craze now. never mind lahh you just wait on my wedding i'll wear pastel all over me!

Pak Teh returned home today from Taiping and both Mak Teh and me were so relieved to finally have a man in the house again. not that we're afraid or what because both of us are brutal and brave enough to beat the living out of a man but having a man in the house will provide better safety. Kak Maryam will be coming home this Friday so yayayayayayayayyyy can't wait to meet her!

i'm currently immersed in reading a book about woman in Islam. might blog about it later because there's so many useful information in the book.

so,toodles for now.
salam.

Second day SBE : too much reading.

Assalamualaikum people.

i have no relief classes today nor do i have any jobs to do in the musolla nor do i have a anything that could actually dried out my energy for today so yes, i spend my time in the school in front of my laptop, reading and reading and reading until there's too much things in my mind i feel like my brain is going to explode so i stop reading and started blogging. so yeahhh blogging is my therapy.

i was up until eleven last night donning the blog with zest and excitement but somehow things went a bit wayward so i had to do some editing this morning in the staff room. but there's no problem with that so yes i don't know what to do today. however, not wanting the precious time to go wasted again, like it did during my holiday, i decided to do my assignment and i actually finished up two assignments today! perhaps sitting among the teachers actually have some kind of effect on me. still, two assignments in a day like jyeah Oddblogger!

i continue with my long-time routine, reading about psychology's negative behaviourism consisting the traits of Narcissism, Machiavellianism, and psychopathy. these three traits are also known as the Dark Triad. i don't know when i'm going to blog about them because there are so many to read and discover and understand and processed for my brain. just by reading about the Dark Triad is enough to make me feel like i've aged ten years older both mentally and physically. yes, it is THAT exhausting! but fret not for i will blog about them.

so not much happened except i enjoy the school today and i actually manage to finished up three assignments like walao i am so rajin ni!

enjoy your day, people!
salam.

Tok Gajah says no to Red Warrior.

Assalamualaikum people!

yesterday i watched the Malaysia Cup match between Pahang and Kelantan with Mak Teh at Darul Makmur. yes, we were football maniacs so beat it okay?

since Mak Teh supported Red Warrior, i choose to support Tok Gajah instead. besides, they've been showing promising potentials in their last match against JDT in FA Cup. the match started off with high spirit from both team but that Pahang's spirit was quickly dampen by TRW's Badri with his 8th minute goal that puts TRW on lead for the first half.

there were some nice attempts from both sides with Nwakaeme's working hard to score a goal but was denied by Pahang's goalkeeper time and again. Amirulhadi waste a darn good chance for a goal when his ball went straight into Apek's arms but his effort was a booster for Pahang who was determine to net a goal against TRW. their chance came late when Stewart kick the equaliser in the 85th minute which shock the Red Warriors with a 1-1 tie.

what caught my interest was that a player each from both team was sent out all for the bad reasons. Fakri was sent out after receiving his red card with a foul face. i wonder why he likes to kick all the wrong places! while Surendran was sent out after he gave Daudsu a knocker in between the thigh. i mean, straight in between, face-face, with a raging face! it seems like Surendran is a bit displease when Daudsu prevent him from catching the ball so he decided to teach the man a painful lesson.

all these nondisciplinary act only spark more hatred, you know.

still, on the other side of the world, the great JDT lose to PKNS 2-0 while Kedah held Lions at a nerve-wrecking 2-2 draw.

i know everyone is happy because JDT lose despite all the great big payrolls on their team and extremely happy because Kedah actually stops Lions's prowling further! well done Kedah!

keep calm and watch football jyeah!
salam.

First day SBE : wohaa there!

assalamualaikum people!

so, so, so, today i had my first day of SBE in SK Bukit Raya, Hulu Langat, Selangor and it was so ah-ma-zingggg i don't want to go back to Iptho!

well, the school had a really good atmosphere and really display the kind of school that i would send my children to! the headmaster is a professional lady, strict and smart and really emphasis on the building process of the children. during the assembly, her speech was straight to the point and full of motivating words like "pendidik haruslah bekerjasama sebagai kumpulan" and keep on reminding every teachers what are the characteristics that a teacher should have in order to teach and educate the children. so fiery and passionate with her job, now that's a good leader, and she's worth every ounce of respect!

ehh why did i compliment the headmaster too much ni? lulz.

so, i was place at the table together with the practicum group. all of them are in their semester six and so far i don't feel awkward talking to them because they are older and Oddblogger always click with older people lulz.  five of them are men, coming from Pak Lang's place, IPIK, and the other two sisters, are IPIS, and all of them exudes the teacher attitudes with style. all of them talk to me and was actually surprise because i came all the way from Johor just to do my SBE hehehe although i must admit that i was a bit blurry today because this is my first day and i'm still getting used to the surrounding atmosphere but Oddblogger feels at home here. one of them is a Muarian too so you see i'm like 'heyy,, orang kampungg give me fiveee!'. lulz no lah. it's only in my mind hee

so, the first thrills?

we had the 'Pelancaran Bulan Kemerdekaan' event in assembly today and it brings back so much memories of my school days. i remember all my poem recital moment, my MC-ing duties, and of course, the numerous top of your long thrills singing the patriotic songs with the flags waving here and there! since there's Pendidikan Khas classes here, i can see that the school top gears did their best to involved all the students no matter whether they are from the normal classes, the pre-school classes or the special need classed. everyone is welcome equally. i've been blessed with good people around me, Alhamdulillah ya Allah.

second thrills?

i was asked to help in designing the school's surau's blog! i mean, even the surau have a blog wahahah and then one of the practicum teacher, i think it's Mr Najmi, actually create a Facebook page for the surau! me, sis Haryatie and sis Syafiqah were bustling around with the blog and i can't describe my thankfulness when they smile when they know i'm a blogger which means that i can help with the blog and i'm like ahhhh i really have so much rezeki with blogs isn't it? hahaha they actually go to great length just to establish the surau! tonight i'm gonna design the header. a simple one should be okay so that it won't be hard to choose the background image later on. actually the school is going to welcome the Nazir tomorrow so they're doing their best to impress the inspectors and so we want to impress the other teachers too with our dedication! what la Oddblogger it's been only a day and you love this school that much? hahaha forgive me but i'm actually enjoying every single chance that i can get to be in school with kids around me. hehehe

third thrills?

entering the class yayayay! so i was given the chance to take the relief class from Mr Yazeed for English. well, because it's English, you see? never mind i'd take all i don't have any problem with it. so i entered the class of 4 Dinamik and they are really a dynamically curious group of student! they ask so many questions i couldn't even catch a breath. but there are some Tarzans in the class so i had to be strict at some point too but kids of course lahh they have to be Tarzan if not what's the point of being kids? i was a Tarzan too when i was a child. because being Jane is too mainstream Jane don't get to play football and punch the seniors hehehe.

fourth thrills?

someone just made my day brighter than yesterday. Alhamdulillah ya Allah.*blushing*

well, things has been extremely good for me today and i am very thankful for everything. please make tomorrow a brighter day for me, ya Allah.

so people, keep calm and be thankful for everything that you have right now and always remember to pray for yourself and other people too because your prayer can help others being strong to live on in this perilous life.

#prayfor#Palestine#Egypt#Syria#Rohingya#muslimeverywhere!

increase you sujud, increase your prayer.

Salam.

Colours.

Assalamualaikum people.

this is just a random piece. :)

                                                              ***

Colours lighted her life once, like a shower of Sakura during Spring, calming the heart and soothing the soul. Passionate shades blaze her trails wherever she went without fail, day after day. How bright her eyes sparkle at the mere sight of overflowing happiness in her life, the youth that never fail to entertain.

Her frail fingers moved slowly, bringing the dull handkerchief with Narcissus flowers embroidered beautifully at each corner to wipe away a drop of regret. Which wrong step had she taken in her life until it ended up in the deepest of despair? Her life. her glorious life crumpled right in front of her like a ravenous boa straggling its prey. Another drop of regret, falling on the dusty floor.

She was the most beautiful maiden in her village since everyone could remember. How she loved arranging her golden curls with fresh flowers from the valley, emitting such sweet scent that could turn even an old beggar with no hope for life to lift his eyes and smile at her. With rosebud lips smiling like a red fire, her nose a tiny angel to babies and children’s cheeks. Her eyes, oh her celestial eyes! what divine words can describe her emerald eyes which shine like the deep sea pulling you deeper in its pool of enchantment. She was, the true ensemble of ethereal beauty in every mortal’s eyes.

Her fingers now a painting of skeleton and wrinkles, too frail to lift the little china. Her emerald eyes failed her, blurred by old age and old dreams. Sometimes when she could find the strength to stand up, she would walk to the garden and sit among the flowerless piece of land until the nightingale came perching on a dead tree nearby and sang to her soul the sweetest melody of her life. A life full of joy and laughter that tragically ended with regret and loneliness.

She was the most enchanted creature and she won’t have it in any other way. Oh yes, she was so vain and proud of her beauty. How she immersed in the heavenly routine of puffing her cheek until they changed into a pair of pinkish glow after letting her dainty fingers adorned her small, pouting lips with a hint of red tint. She was extremely pretty and she loved it when people complimented her lovely feature. No other girl can be as attractive as her in the village. She refused to allow them to bask in her limelight among the villagers. She would work her charm in every single chance, dancing on her feet gaily like a majestic peacock spreading its vibrant tail. Colours. Her life is the epitome of mesmerizing colours.

The rusty bed shrieked as she woke up each day, opening her eyes to face another day in pathetic hopelessness. Her old hut was so bleak with gloom even the mice stayed away from her home. She had nothing left except her old hut and a garden full of dead roots. Nothing ever grow in that piece of soil thus she stopped praying for miracles. How can she ever dream of miracles when her past kept taunting her, rigging up a bleeding wound over and over again.

She loved the man and he swore his love encompassed hers. They were the happiest lover, always together and so full of love. Nothing in this world can ever separate them. Nothing at all. Until the woman came. She was furious, oh yes, of course she was. She felt it was her right to be angry towards the man whom she had given everything to. She did not think twice when she grabbed the old axe, yet as sharp as her tongue, and struck both the traitor, her man and his new lover, to a tortured death. She couldn’t think when some stranger ambushed her house and scarred her divine face.

All that she knew were the dripping blood and her own screaming voice.

She felt stronger that day and gathered herself for another walk in her empty garden. Perhaps the nightingale will sing to her again today. As she pulled the door knob, her eyes grew wide with utmost disbelieve. Colours dance in her garden, from purple morning glory to the yellow Narcissus together with the rainbow of roses.  Her garden burst with life and smell of heaven. She ran in her struggling steps towards the colours with tears of happiness streaming from her emerald eyes.

They found her cold among the dead garden that winter, with a smile telling them that she found peace at last.

Let's play under the sun this Ramadhan!

Assalamualaikum people!

this semester, i am proudly swinging my hockey stick around at IPTHO's dry football field. my poor Iptho if only i could, i would go down and water the field to make it green again sobs sobs.

i actually love Gerko class this semester, which is really surprising since i am not very good with outdoor sports. the only thing healthy, at least to me, is jogging and Taekwondo and squashy and that's it. the top reason is because i can't stand the hot sun for too long or else i'll faint. why do i have such weak body sobs sobs sobs. even playing hockey yesterday nearly smack the life out of me. *sigh*

so my aim now is to get healthier body. it's fasting time already so yeah let's see how i can achieve my aim lulz.

still, playing hockey is so great! i actually did pretty good with the basic and soon was kinda addicted to hitting the ball hahahahah! yesterday i paired up with Fawa and had a really good time learning the technique. this sounds so pathetic and lame but i'm just so excited with the prospect that i can actually do a good job at outdoor sports like this so yayy Oddblogger yayy! i think hockey will be my revenge for my lack of skills in tennis last semester. besides, i have a really awesome lecturer so it adds up to the motivation there. Mr Lukman really teach us like a pro. well, he's a hockey player himself so there's no denial when it comes to his explanation about the game.

you should see him dribble and hit the ball. like asdfghjkl so pro!

can't wait to get my hockey stick soon. i want an A for Gerko again this semester and hopefully i will be motivated enough to play under the sun without fainting. i've done very poorly with tennis (because i dislike the sports) so i think this time i ought to challenge myself by performing well with the heavy hockey stick.

Mr Lukman said : this semester, everything you do is about hockey. dribble the ball to the bathroom, shower, and dribble back to your room. waiting for breakfast, dribble the ball to kill the time. if you feel angry, take your hockey stick and hit away using the right technique. then you will be a good player.

it seems kinda interesting to try hehehehe.

i will chase you with my hockey stick if you mess with me. *evil grin*

one thing that worries me is that my hand is still kinda weak due to my sickness so i'm currently thinking of a way to make it a stronger. perhaps i should do more push ups from now. why did i abandoned my exercise routine in the first place? *facepalm*

well, happy fasting everyone and let's increase our ibadah in this wonderful month.

this is Narcissus Oddblogger
XOXO.

Lower down your ego, English teachers.

Assalamualaikum people.

as a Tesl student and a future English teacher, i think it is very important for us to have the right kind of attitude when it comes to learning English. as we are still in the process of training ourselves to be good English teachers, there's no reason for us to be so egoistic or haughty with the little knowledge that we have right now, what more with all the lecturers that never fail to point out our mistakes every single time, there's really no plausible reason for us to be too proud with what we have.

therefore, it is wise to remember that confidence without knowledge won't bring us anywhere. say, do you think people would like to learn from you if you keep on speaking with a very thick accent until they can't understand what you're trying to say? one of my lecturer, Puan H used to advice us that the important thing in being a teacher is not a perfect accent but rather, the way you deliver the knowledge. she keep pointing out that i use too much accent when i speak but i don't think i really have any accent at all. i just speak the way i speak all these time. but then, she's the lecturer so i make it a point to follow her advice in which i try to speak loudly (because my voice is too low) and clearly (because i mumble) and slowly (because i speak fast) and use simple English (because my vocabs isn't suitable for primary school student). so you see, i have so many problems too when it concerns my teaching capabilities. somehow i must corrected myself before i started my practicum. *sigh*

furthermore, the one thing that an English teacher must pay attention to is the attitude. you can be as smart as Einstein but if you're so egoistic and haughty, who will like you?  as a teacher, you have to be good in socializing with your student and other teachers. by socializing here it means you have to know how to treat other people with respect and appreciation. you must always smile and be morally encouraging to your students so that they will have the confident and interest to learn English language. treat your colleague and superior with respect. never use any derogatory remarks when you reprimand your student. do you like it if people scold you with harsh words? absolutely not.

next, don't be so vain when it comes to critics. when you make mistake, especially grammatical mistake, and others corrected you, say thank you instead of calling them busybody or kepohci or showing off. i mean, you're the English teacher yet you make the simple basic mistake. it doesn't sound right at all, isn't it? as English is not our first language, it is acceptable for us to admit that we do make some mistakes in terms of speaking or writing. so we should learn from our mistake and avoid repeating them in the future. in that sense, we're learning and improving ourselves at the same time.

still, i don't think English teachers should make basic grammatical mistake.
somehow it appears to be too....moronic.

i mean, you sign up for English so why don't you learn the language properly? if you say you dislike English and it is not your first choice, then why bother coming and learning it in the first place? you can easily walk out of the course anytime you want.

once you decided to do any English-related course, you must force yourself to be diligent. as all of us know, English is a crazy language because it focus on the pronunciation/the way it is spoken rather than the spelling.

example :

Particular is transcribed as /pə(r)ˈtikyələr/

most of us will pronounce it as 'partikyular' instead of 'pertikyeler' and the mistake is passed down from one generation to another generation until all of us pronounce it in the wrong way and yet we still feel like it is the correct way to say the word.

therefore the responsibility to correct the mistake falls on English teachers as they are the one learning the alien language in depth and are supposed to be the expert in English-related problems.

so, if an English teacher doesn't want to learn the knowledge properly, then how can they teach the right way? don't you have any conscience at all if you teach the wrong content to the students? what will happen to your student who come to you with a pure intention of learning the language and they regarded you as the master of English language. your student will accept every single thing that you say as the truth and they will hold on to that knowledge for as long as they live.

seriously, do you have the heart to ruin the future generations just because you refuse to be corrected in the first place?
i'd say, why bother becoming a teacher if you insists on acting haughty and arrogant?

generally, English teachers are regarded as the natural diva and  very good at socializing. in the wrong way. for once, why not change that perspective? at least for your sake if not for your student's sake. what is there to be proud of being called a diva? being labelled as English wannabes eating mac and cheese for breakfast? i am a very vain person but i know which part of me that i am supposed to be vain of. i am very vain in making sure people speak the right English because from the first day i step my foot in IPTHO, the responsibility to teach English is placed on my shoulder. so no matter how much i despise grammar, i must force myself to learn them all.

we are going to be teachers. so start acting like a teacher.
