Julius Caesar vs Marcus Brutus

we are just like the great Romans.

i am Julius Caesar, who's ambitious mind see the great world i'd mould one day, without doubt within me lies the arrogant soul who refuse to accept my own weakness. and i shall look ahead and see my own kingdom erected from the rubbles of ignorance. and i shall be the dictator of my empire, mine alone. and i will slay any wretched feet that dare thread within my boundary. for i am the great emperor of my soul, and none will ever conquer me as long as blood flows from my heart. i am the one moulding my destiny and each steps i take shall be the last step you shall breath your last shiver.

but you...you are Marcus Brutus. too noble for your own good. and for your namesake too, shall your destiny snap within the vine of my grasp. you are just too noble. you won't betray me, but one fine day you shall leave me forever. there won't be any reason for you to divulge your reasons. the blatant truth shall justify your deeds, much worse it is to me than its boon to you. you shall deny glory from lifting you through the air, you shall kneel down and bow low to the order of nature. but this you can't deny nor can you admit; you find no cause other than being noble to parish me. once and for all from your memory.

and here i stand, in the middle of bloody isolation, clouded by my better judgement that you, my noble friend, shall stay with me long before this world ends. all the trust and believe and faith that i mark upon your shoulder was shredded into pieces of humiliation and heartache. the fact that you, my noble friend, should one day leave me alone, kills me.

and i die. i die long before you stab me with that accursed dagger of betrayal. and there you stand, my noble friend, who once claimed you won't leave my side. you won't turn your back on me. ever. that you shall try to be with me, to be my muse of a life. you, my noble friend, who succumb to your handmade barrier of words, and sight, and voices. you, whom i thought i could trust without fear of rejection, without fear of being hurt. yet at the end of the line you abandon me. and i die. dead. like a spot of unworthy dust, dispersed once the wind of change blows.

how do you feel, my noble friend, knowing you purposely left me for reasons you won't make truth of?
how do you sleep at night knowing here i sit, waiting alone, for your smile, for your benevolent gesture.
how do you feel, knowing that here lies the heart that beats patiently, awaiting your glorified laughter.
how do you feel, knowing that here stand a friend, who awaits you to be part of me again?

perhaps, you enjoy the noble cause of Marcus Brutus, who stab Julius Caesar, for the simple reason that he was too ambitious? the limerence that you kept hidden for so long was toss to the roaring fire of the Plebeians, who's cry of uncertainty reflects your own cowardice soul.

you, noble friend, you are the one who make this hasty decision of abandoning me. feeding life to the ignorant fool. and i, as ambitious as can be, won't tear my pride kneeling down for your smile anymore. you choose this path, and i shall respect you for that.

my noble friend, i know a lost cause when i see once.
